Located at 900 meters of altitude, at the bottom of the Solid mass of Sancy, the Lac Chambon is an ideal place for the rest and the leisures. With its “beaches in mountain” very appraisals of the holiday makers, it is also in the center of multiple tourist tours. 

The Lac Chambon owes its origin with the late eruption right in the middle of the valley, of the Strombolian cone of Tartaret. With 875m of altitude this lake has a surface of 60ha strewn with small islands, in a depth of ten meters approximately. On a side of the lake, a great beach (idleness, bathe, pedal boats, trade), other small beach with base of veil. Possibility of making the turn of the lake by foot.
